A simple outline
helps to define your goals

1.   PLANNING

When creating a web site there is a lot of preliminary footwork to be done and it's a good idea to have a simple outline to help you decide how your site should be organized! Some of the many decisions we'll guide you to include defining your goals such as:

• deciding who your target market is
• deciding how you want to use the site
• deciding upon colour (if you have a preference)
• deciding the types of pages you should include
• deciding how you'd like to see the information assembled on the pages 

Remember that the purpose of your site's online presence is to offer information to your visitors about your company and it's products and services. The more effectively planned and constructed, the more likely the site will match your requirements, resulting in better communication of your specific message to your site visitors and potential customers!

To be seen on the net you need three things:

• a web site - the layout of all the text, graphics and links
• a domain name - your web site's "address"
• a web host - provides the space where your site will "live"

In choosing your domain name, it's a good idea to match it to your business name. A custom web address (www.yourbusinessname.com) makes it a lot easier for your site visitors to remember and find your site, and easier for you to promote it. Combined with matching
e-mail (you@yourwebaddress.com), you can advertise with every e-mail you send!

3.   DESIGN

Keep in mind SIMPLICITY & CLARITY...first impressions are critical!

We think it's important to keep the design clean and simple. That way it's easy to read and highly functional. Put another way, easy on the eyes and easy to find your way around!

Your home page should be welcoming and informative, but not cluttered - clutter is the enemy of good design. The home page should be a representation of the atmosphere of the entire site. An invitation to spend some time clicking through the pages.
